Stéphane Blanchard

Born in Poitiers in 1967, Blanchard’s artistic journey began at the Fine Arts Academy, drawing initial inspiration from the Italian Renaissance. Years of fresco training and travel to cultural centers like Paris, London, Canada, and finally San Francisco, profoundly shaped his aesthetic, with Asian and Latin influences merging into his hyper-realistic style.

Now based in Nice, France, Blanchard’s work explores the interplay of light, form, and time, aiming to materialize the invisible and evoke deep emotions. His paintings invite viewers into expansive, harmonious spaces, reflecting a constant dialogue between sensation and emotion—what he calls a “conversation of the soul”—focusing on creating intimate and balanced expressions that connect inner experience to the broader world.

Abstraction is my window on the infinite—a dialogue with the soul where light, color, and form converge to capture the fleeting essence of time and the boundless depths of human emotion.
